Ecclesiastes 3 – A Time for Everything

Life is full of seasons—some joyful, some painful, and many that leave us with more questions than answers. We pray, we hope, and we wait for change. But what if the answers we’re looking for are already unfolding in ways we don’t expect? Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us that God has a perfect time for everything, even when we can’t see it yet.
A Time for Prayer and Waiting
All too often in life, we keep praying that things will shift in our lives. We believe God is going to answer our prayers and meet our needs.
The truth is, He is answering our prayers—just not always in the way we expect. We imagine it happening one way, yet He has another. We continue to wait and make our demands, yet He stands for us with who He is.
We cry out, “How can this be? Why is this happening?”
It’s About Him, Not Us
So often, it’s all about us—not Him.
How many times has He protected you from something unseen?
How many times has His right hand remained on your life when you didn’t deserve it?
How many times have your guardian angels battled for you because of what you thought or felt?
What amazes me is that our Creator continues to do this time and time again—for us—because He is the God of love.
His Word tells us: “line upon line, precept upon precept” (Isaiah 28:10). Yet we so often want to skip ahead. This is no joke!
His Heart’s Desire
God sent His Son—not a random person—but His only Son to walk the earth and die for us, so we could truly know Him. Even more, He did this so that we could have fellowship with Him, one on one.
This is His heart’s desire.
It may sound crazy, but it’s the truth. Sadly, much of the church today has it backwards. Too often, churches focus on keeping people in the pews rather than sending them out to share His love with all.
Why? Because for some, it has become about the dollar.
But I will speak on this. He is my Father, my Friend, my Leader, my Creator, my God.
God Does Answer Prayer
Yes, God answers prayer in our lives (I know I went off on a tangent)—but it really is that simple. He alone is simple.
If you don’t see Him answering prayer in your life, trust that there is a reason.
Here’s the truth: we pray for what we think we need, but God only does what He knows is best for us. Done deal. That’s God.
And it is only when we are ready that He will answer.
Love, Blessings & Shalom,
Michael

Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,Thank You for being the God of perfect timing. Help me to trust You in every season of my life, even when I don’t understand. Teach me to rest in Your wisdom and to let go of my own demands. Strengthen my faith to believe that You are working all things together for my good.
I choose to wait on You, to trust in You, and to walk in the season You have placed me in. Thank You for Your love, Your protection, and Your unfailing presence in my life.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
